At Love for Dahlias, our fresh flowers are only procured and prepared upon receiving the order. We do not have ready-made, off-the-shelf bouquets that are pre-wrapped and ready to be delivered immediately. All our fresh flower bouquets and arrangements are prepared and arranged only after orders are placed. However, this means that we will require a lead time to prepare your flowers.
While this means that we do not have flowers that are immediately available for delivery, having a lead time means that we do not need to stock flowers in advance, before orders are made. We will only prepare flowers that are required for the day. Having a lead time will ensure that you will receive a bouquet made with fresh flowers prepared just for you. Since we do not stock flowers that may not get sold, there is also less wastage and more flowers to go around.
Fresh flowers will start to wilt if they are out of water for a long time. It is important for flowers to have enough fresh water when they are wrapped so that they will stay hydrated. Bouquets may dry up or wilt prematurely if they run out of water in the wrapper. As our bouquets are wrapped the same day they are delivered, you can be sure that they will have a fresh source of water to stay hydrated.
Having a lead time also means that we are able to offer bespoke bouquets on our website. Bespoke bouquets are custom bouquets with flowers that are in the colour scheme that you have selected. We will pick flowers that suit the colour scheme and create a one-of-a-kind design for you. This means that we will be able to use special seasonal blooms that are available that week, and deliver a specially designed bouquet to you.
If you require flowers urgently, reach out to us via WhatsApp to enquire (p.s. we rarely say no). We are happy to help as long as we do not need to compromise on the freshness of the flowers!
